Weihrauch HW97k .22 fitted with a Japanese made Optima 3-9x45 AO (parallax adjustment) telescopic sight. This HW97k is marked Hull Cartridge and was made in West Germany around possibly around the late 1980s to early 1990s. I bought the rifle second hand from a private seller (classified add), about 10 years ago and I have put no more than 200 rounds through it. I seem to recall the previous owner told me that he had hardly used it. The condition of the wood and blueing is still in excellent as can be seen from the photographs. The wood does not have any dents or scratches, that I can see, and there is no rust or wear to the visible metal work either. In my opinion the gun still feels new. The rifle still shoots very well, cocking it is very smooth, as is to be expected, but heavy probably because the under lever is relatively short and is perhaps not the best choice for a younger shooter. The scope is accurate and the optics are still clear. It is fitted with a leather sling and comes with a gun slip. I am selling it because I hardly ever use it. This is because the rifle is very heavy. Ideal if you are in a hide for pigeons, rabbits or squirrels but not for walking any distance with. The rifle is located in West London.
