Description

Highest quality C&H Avant Tout (without sideplates). Wonderful, crisp engraving (I have not seen better) with some colour hardening. Completed in 1900 and numbered one of a pair.

The gun was returned to Cogswell in 62/63 for rebarreling and the proof marks were struck at 0.729 in both. The gun measures the same today. Good amount of choke in both barrels.

Re-stocked in quite plain, straight grained timber with walnut extension to 15 5/8" LOP.
