Zamacola are one of the lesser known of the Basque manufacturers, in the UK at any rate. I have a home in Spain and these guns are always popular with local hunters. They are known to be robust workhorses and this model called the Jabali (the basque for wild boar) one of their most popular.
They are not flashy guns. They were not made for flashy men. The wood is close grained and strong with the only indication of the workmanship shown in the heavily scrolled fences, bolstered tray and sideclipped barrels. The butt end features a relief of the aforementioned boar.
I have sold many of these over the years , they have never let buyers down. Some would prefer more bluing and there is a tiny chip on the heel hence £125.
