I have two of these guns for sale to make a composed pair.
They were made by one of the top Spanish gunmakers, Laurona of Eibar in 1973/4 copying the style of Holland and Holland and exported for the English market, hence the model name of “Essex”
They feature clean 28“ barrels choked for game at half and full under a broad file rib. The action features a gundog engraving, a bolstered tray and leaf scrolled fences. The top lever operates a concealed third bite and has the model name engraved in gold. There are the usual Laurona quality features of removeable striker discs and automatic safety on a double trigger. All screws are original, unburred and engraved. The stock is English style with crisp chequering and lightly grained. They could benefit from some re-oiling hence the cheap price of £95 each.
